About Me

Let Us Pray
FOREWORD The book entitled "Marilah Kita Salat" was written in the Indonesian language by (the late) Mr. H.D.P. Sati Alimin. The English language version, "Let Us Pray", which was translated by Mr. Anton Alimin, Dr Amin Samad and, Hasnah Hashim should be warmly welcomed and appreciated. The translation will provide a wider opportunity for non-Indonesian and non-Arabic speaking Muslims to learn how to perform their prayers correctly and appropriately. Through prayer, Muslims learn not only to establish and strengthen their spiritual and religious relationships with God the Creator, but also the importance of cleanliness, discipline of time and punctuality, peace, togetherness and humility. This translation will assist reader in general, including non-Muslims, to understand prayer as one of the core aspects of Islamic teaching, particularly the underlying concept and meaning of prayer itself. I congratulate, Mr. Anton Alimin, Dr Amin Samad and Hasnah Hashim for their translation, and may Allah, God the Almighty, give His blessings and mercy to them. Sudjadnan Pamohadiningrat Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia
